We are an online, design-led lighting
and hardware company specialising
in products that you won’t find on the
high street. From beautiful and bespoke
lighting products, such as vintage light
bulbs, fabric lighting cable, ceiling lights
to designer light switches, dimmers and
plug sockets.
In late 2015 we launched a range of
hardware products that included toggle
switches, dimmers and plug sockets.
James Dowsing-Reynolds, founder and
Director of Dowsing & Reynolds, first set
about designing the range after moving
house and was unable to find any that
he loved for his new home. He struggled
to source any switches or sockets that
were not only well designed, different
from the usual sea of white plastic, but
also affordable too. Affordability is often
key, especially if you’re doing the whole
interior, not just a socket or two.
The black and white ranges always sell
very well, but more recently we have
noted that our tarnished copper switches
and sockets have increased in their
popularity due to their industrial style
and raw finish; which is basically what our
brand is all about.
We recently exhibited at 100% Design at
Olympia, London. Our stand featured the
switches and sockets and they proved a
big hit with both architects and interior
designers, noting they were of fantastic
quality, great price, and something they
hadn’t seen before. All key factors when
sourcing the best products for interior
projects.
Due to the popularity of the range and
customer feedback, we’ve recently added
new products to the collection including
triple toggle and dimmer switches, fused
spurs and cooker switches.
We are now developing new designs
and products to extend the range even
further, and they will be available early
next year.
