‘Aluprof on Prestigious
North West Project’
One New Bailey is a new office development
in Salford on the north bank of the River
Irwell, situated next to Spinningfields and
close the Lowry Hotel. The development is
part of New Bailey, a new business and leisure
hub within the growing area of Salford Central
and offers 125,000 sq ft of prime commercial
space adjacent to Manchester's central
business district.
Aluprof’s ‘cap-less’ curtain wall system,
the advanced MB-SR50N EFEKT was used
on all elevations of the new build and the
fabrication and installation of the curtain wall
was undertaken by CSi, Commercial Systems
International, of Humberside. Stuart Green,
Managing Director of CSi comments on the
installation: “We are proud to be a part of such
a prestigious project in the heart of Salford’s
new central business district. Our installation
team completed a top notch installation
and we are looking forward to working with
contractor Bowmer & Kirkland on future
projects.
One New Bailey, was developed by English
Cities Fund (ECf ), working closely with Salford
Council and is funded and is owned by
Legal & General. The building was designed
by Aedas RHWL architects, who also are
responsible for the masterplan of the area.
With large, regular and efficient floorplates,
averaging over 17,000 sq ft (net), designed
specifically for flexibility and to facilitate split
tenancies, the One New
Bailey development
has achieved a Grade A,
BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.
Leading international
law firm Freshfields
Bruckhaus Deringer has
announced that it will
be leasing 80,000 sq ft
within the building as
the long term base for its
Global Centre.
The highly anticipated
Menagerie restaurant
will occupy one of the
ground floor units,
making this a truly mixed
use scheme.
ECf is a joint venture between Muse
Developments, Legal & General and the
Homes and Communities Agency.
