Pangea Sculptures can be viewed at their
showroom, via their digital catalogue,
and also at selected Design and Interiors
shows across the UK where the response
has been overwhelming. The detailed
pieces are handmade by a team of
artisan craftsmen in Africa and imported
exclusively to the UK by Pangea Sculptures.
There is a wonderful variety of creatures
to choose from and each individual piece
is painstakingly constructed entirely from
recycled metal, with the largest sculptures
of the giraffes at 4.3m tall taking around
1500 hours to complete. Due to the
nature of their construction there are
variations between the pieces as they are
all individually designed and hand welded,
with the finished pieces retaining many
irregular markings which add to their
charm and authenticity.
A brand new showroom has recently
opened in Lancashire to showcase a
selection of the animals available, so that
clients can view the pieces in detail and
appreciate the skill and workmanship that
goes in to every sculpture. Two majestic
elephants currently flank the entrance of
the showroom, realistic in every detail and
making a grand statement at approximately
2.5m high. The sculptures are gracing
locations across the UK and abroad and offer
the chance to purchase a unique work of art
that is equally at home indoors or outside.

These beautiful sculptures are entirely
handmade in Africa and hand finished in
the UK, with a professional lacquer coating to
protect the natural metal finish. The sculptures
also look magnificent in the shining chrome and
bronze finishes which are similarly protected. There
is also a hand painted option available which gives a
more subdued finish. Some of the sculptures will be
limited edition pieces with special finishes applied
and no two will be exactly alike due to their
handcrafted design and production process.
The large sculptures are professionally
installed in soft ground or hard standing
using anchor points which are welded to
the feet of the sculptures and they are
secured with spikes of varying length
depending on the size of the piece.
These fixings are for the safety and
stability of the sculpture only and do
not constitute any security measure.
Each of the large sculptures comes
with a beautifully illustrated and
numbered certificate of authenticity,
which details the date of release of the
design, the name of the client and the
authorised signature on behalf of Pangea
Sculptures. Clients are also provided with
full instructions and guidelines for the after
care of their sculptures and their safety and
maintenance when placed outside, meaning that
they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Private viewing appointments are available on
request outside showroom hours for clients
who wish to take their time in a relaxed and
discreet environment when making their choice
of sculpture. These appointments are particularly
useful for designers and traders who need to
discuss a specific brief, lead time for manufacture
or installation logistics.
