Laser Experts Bring
Unique Art To Life
Laser cutting and engraving specialist Cutting Technologies
has teamed up with renowned artist, Tom Hiscocks to
produce several intricate laser-cut sculptures.
Tom recently created two console tables with male and
female torso sculptures using cor-ten before being copper
plated.
The commission came following the Harrogate International
Visual Arts Fair in November which featured a series of
Tom’s figurative sculptures made in either metal or acrylic –
each having been laser-cut by Cutting Technologies.

Working alongside Nunnington-based gallery, Bils and
Rye, who represented Tom’s work at the fair, Tom’s work
featured Chinese Whisper, a female torso incorporating
28 layers of metal which had been laser cut by Cutting
Technologies.

Jane Robinson, director and co-founder of Cutting
Technologies commented: “Creative projects like this are
superb at displaying what our team can really achieve.
Our growing relationship with Tom showcases what can be
done using materials such as cor-ten, steel and acrylic and
intricate laser cutting.”
Laser specialist Cutting Technologies firmly believes that
the only barrier to what can be laser cut and engraved is
one’s imagination.
Whether it’s one-off, unique intricate laser cut cor-ten which
forms a console table, or a spectacular laser cut decorative
panel in wood, Cut Tec’s lasers have seen it all over the
past 13 years.
