CONCEPT

Bees live in colonies in a honeycomb and are known to produce honey through an excellent work ethic in a complex and efficient society. Scientists believe that bees understand the concept of angles and the circumference of the earth. They have coded behavior patterns and proof of that is the design of the hexagonal pattern in the combs. A healthy honeycomb is a highly functioning structured organism; the bees use it as a refuge, place of work and deposit of honey. A bee needs to consume 8 ounces of honey to produce 1 ounce of wax used to make the hexagonal compartments, where they keep it and it must be a mathematically form that needs the least amount of wax.

The honeycomb construction patterns are the basis for the design of the Center for Comprehensive Preschool Education. The classrooms must maximize the use of space and be modular in order to be archetypes in rural areas.
