For the 60th anniversary of the Seattle Japanese Garden, I compiled a comprehensive list of articles
published in the “Arboretum Bulletin” on this 3.5-acre horticultural jewel. I found more
than 60 articles, either specifically about the Garden or linked to it in some way. The list has
already proved very useful for various 60th anniversary projects, such as a new booklet that Unit 86 is
creating about the development of the Garden’s plant collection.
Thanks to the Biodiversity Heritage Library, all of these articles are available for free online at
www.biodiversitylibrary.org/bibliography/139633#/summary. Below is a list of just 20 of the articles,
demonstrating the diversity of topics covered. The full list is available to peruse at the Elisabeth C. Miller
Library, or email the library for a copy at hortlib@uw.edu.
