Arabella Magazine Aug. 2016 | Page 3

A Brief Explanation:

All Shapes and Sizes:

Learning to Love Yourself

For our first issue we choose to launch under the banner of: "All Shapes and Sizes" to clarify what Arabella Magazine is all about. It is not normal to dedicate so many articles to one subject, but after carefully reviewing the material we decide to address it because it's such a so prevalent in women's lives. We had women of all shapes and sizes write their own stories, and as the entries came in each was unique and powerful. We honsetly couldn't think of what to cut and what to keep because we believed that sharing all stories would reach to different women of all backgrounds. The material in this issue is relatable, but more importantly, it's personal.

All of our writers submit material at great personal risk, they are literally putting their lives and trials on paper for the world to view. We ask that our readers treat the articles as the personal, even sacred, stories of individuals and to respect the courage and grace that our writers have shown in taking on this challenge.

Having said that, we would like to thank our writers and to show them the love and appreciatioin for all the effort that they have put into this.

We would also like to thank our photographers, for their willingness and for their beautiful photography.

We'd also like to thank our beautiful models for all they've done.
