I read AQUILA over and over again since my subscription is going to run out someday , right ? I ’ m a fan of Percy Jackson books , and my favourite character is Leo Valdez ! I ’ m proud to say that my first fictional crush was a mechanic . I started reading them when I was 8 or 9 , and that sparked a love of Greek myths . I love Roman , Egyptian and Norse too , buuut they ’ re more epic . Sorry Caesar . I ’ d really love an issue on mythology so if you can do it , please do ! I also draw a lot since I have a lot of time at home . I have an illness called CFS [ chronic fatigue syndrome ], and I stay off school a lot . I enjoy comedy , as well , and I ’ m always telling ( terrible ) jokes to my friends . They ’ re always cheering me up when I ’ m down , and I can ’ t thank them enough for that . Enough with the soppy stuff !! I like rock , ED and anime music . If you have an illness , don ’ t fret ! You can get through it , with the help of the people who love you ! Arigato ( I know Japanese by the way .) Bye !

I like reading , playing football , writing comics and playing video games . At school I play guitar , does anyone else ? My favourite games are : Minecraft , Pokemon Sun , Clash of Clans / Clash Royale and Skylanders . Does anyone play these as well ? In reply to Poppy ( March 2017 ), I like ocelots and have tamed 4 so far . Also I have read the ‘ Elementia Chronicles ’, they are in my school library . My favourite books / authors are : ‘ Diary of a Wimpy Kid ’, ‘ Tom Gates ’, David Walliams ’ books and Harry Potter . I am on the 5th book Order of the Phoenix . At school my favourite subjects are maths , English , science and PE .

I think AQUILA is really great . The reason I like it is because you have some really cool themes , most of which I am interested in . I only started getting the subscription at Christmas last year , so I just missed the issue on codes and coding , which sounds really cool . AQUILA , could you do an issue on WWI , WWII or spies ? I got my subscription to AQUILA in August as a birthday present from my grandparents . Speaking of grandparents , seeing as the March issue was Mr Hawking ’ s Big Idea , I thought I would tell you an interesting fact . When my granddad was at Oxford University he did lessons with Stephen Hawking himself ! Sometimes they even met up for coffee together , but at this point nobody knew Stephen would be such a great scientist as he is today ! The Feb 2017 issue was Hong Kong and my best friend moved to Hong Kong when we were both four years old . I showed her the issue and now she really wants to buy it to show her school friends . I had two cats called Tinka and Minka but unfortunately we lost Tinka a few weeks ago but I still thought I would share a poem I wrote about them a while ago :
I have a cat called Tinka The other one ’ s Minka They are both very crazy And also very lazy They like to eat And to steal my seat They like to purr And have very soft fur They ’ re lots of fun And they like to run We got them in May It was a very special day I love my cats just the same Even if sometimes they are quite a pain !

Your magazines are amazing ! My favourite parts are Ian , Jokes and Over to you . I recently went on holiday to Spain . We were climbing a hill , and sat down to have a picnic then some mules came along . They wanted some ! They ran at us and almost knocked us off the cliff , but we escaped . We also saw some geckos . In reply to Morgan- Louise ( Jan 2017 ), I am also in Ravenclaw . My favourite members of the team are Pepe and Harvey . My favourite animals are vultures , keas ( they ’ re a type of parrot ) and giant isopods . My favourite foods are fudge and coconut . I love birds and hope to be an ornithologist when I grow up . Does anyone else like birds ? We have sparrows and crows nesting in our house , which is good . My favourite issue so far is Hong Kong . I love reading the ‘ Edge Chronicles ’ and ‘ Horrible Science ’ series . Does anyone else like these books ? I am learning guitar and it ’ s really fun ! I hope you like my drawing of an eagle chick . Please could you do an issue on parasites or birds of prey ?

When you said the issue after Midwinter Feast ( Dec 2016 ) was Dinosaurs ( Jan 2017 ) I remembered I got a fossil ammonite so I thought I should send you a pic of it . Also I made the salt crystals from the Living Underground issue ( April 2016 ) but I didn ’ t send the picture . For my dad ’ s birthday we saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them . Has anyone else seen it ? I have read the first two ‘ Indian in the Cupboard ’ books and am waiting to find out what happens to him next .

I just want to say I LOVE your magazine ! It ’ s SOO fascinating ! I live in Cambridgeshire ( UK ) and my nationality is Japanese . I like AQUILA because I get to tell my friends my new knowledge . I live in Grand Cayman . If you don ’ t know where that is , it ’ s a very tiny island near Jamaica . It ’ s very hot here . We don ’ t really have seasons , more of a year-round summer . I have two cats and one dog – Dim Sum , Miso and Sushi are their names . I LOVE AQUILA and I look forward to getting the next issue every month . Could you please do a ‘ Dragon ’ issue and a ‘ Harry Potter ’ issue ?

Your magazine is AWESOME ! I ’ m writing this in September , but it will probably be later when this is published . I ’ m nearly 11 and in year 6 . I have a VERY big family . Does anyone else ? Both my Nanas are really into my family history . One of my relations ( George Mottershead ) started Chester Zoo ! There ’ s a book about it and a TV show called Our Zoo . Has anyone ever watched it ? I have some very old pictures of some relatives . There is a girl in one of the photos that looks a lot like me !
