DIRECTOR REPORTS- 2025 / 2026
RICKY GLEN Portfolio: Hall of Fame Portfolio Report Dear Members,
This year will see another group of outstanding people and horses inducted into the Hall of Fame which is the greatest honour a person or a horse can receive from the AQHA.
These individuals have helped shape the AQHA into one of the leading breed societies in Australia today and in doing this, we ensure our past is documented for the future to read about.
We also have 2 Medal of Excellence awards to be presented recognising horses who have excelled in their particular field or any other phase of equestrian activity and in doing so has promoted the Australian Quarter Horse in these areas.
I cannot stress how important our history is for the AQHA and we must look back to ensure horses and riders are acknowledged. The Hall of Fame also recognises our present horses achieving and promoting our breed in their respective disciplines and or promoting our breed outside of our industry as well.
Please go to the website and look at our past inductees and I welcome you to celebrate these great horses and people at our awards night in Melbourne this year.
With thanks Ricky Glen Hall of Fame Chairperson

TRISH WETTENHALL Portfolio: Show and Performance Report
The AQHA board agreed to move forward and adopt the AMQHA rule as of 2026. The S & P sub committee with input from various judges and interested parties are working on suitable changes and additions. Including classes AMQHA don’ t offer their members.
We feel in the best interests of members and competitors. There is a lot of reading and comparing involved to make sure it a smooth transition adopting the rule book. We will also be retraining our judges to make show we all know the differences.
We will only be adopting the SHW rules we will keep our stud book rules and possible changes to violations.
The committee welcome any input from any member regarding these changes.
I look forward to using the AMQHA rule book
