ON the 6th October
2019 Southside Western
Performance Club held
their first show for the
new season.
S
outhside is a friendly popular club in
South East Queensland that caters for
both serious showies and new beginners.
The club holds four multi judge shows
each season which include a full range of halter
and performance classes.
In the months in between Southside conduct
clinics and Beginner/Improver shows to suit
every level of horsemanship from walk/jog/trot
classes right up to Open classes for the more
advanced competitor. These shows and clinics
are open to all breeds.
The October Multi Judge show was very well
attended. Starting with halter it was pleasing to
see quite a few Appaloosa and Paints competing
along with the Quarter Horses.
It was a unanimous decision and Champion
Quarter horse Mare was awarded to the beautiful
Im a Celebrity Q-83417 owned by Chris Sewell.
Champion gelding was won by The Hypnotist
Q-80593 shown by Brianna Miller.
The lineup for Supreme Halter Exhibit included
some very nice Paint and Appaloosa horses but
the award was ultimately presented to Chris
Sewell with Im a Celebrity Q-83417.
Consistent winner in the Youth classes was the
very talented Brianna Miller. Amateur results
were shared by local girl Stacey Thomas with
her lovely young mare GJS Huntin for Dreams
Q-82451 and Kimberley Lyons on her always
reliable mount Chips Texas Rhythm Q-54890.
Southside committee member Gail Lowden
was successful in many of the Select and Senior
Classes.
Thanks to our judges Rosena Fyfe and Andrew
Shield for keeping the show running smoothly.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of
End of Year members High Point Awards for the
2018/2019 season. The following horses and
competitors were successful. F
