SHOW REPORT
Arena Products. The surface was certainly
reining ready with some big scores being
marked by competitors. Many remarked the
surface was outstanding and one of the best
surfaces achieved. This year Reining Australia
introduced a Feature Event to their national
show, the Xtreme Genes Open Working
Cowhorse Event, where the excitement went
up a notch with spectators loving the action
and skilled Cowhorse competitors getting the
job done. The Champion title was taken out by
Leah Read riding ‘Pepto Cat’. There was also a
highest scoring one handed buckle up for grabs
in this class and this title was taken out by Clay
Evans riding ‘C Bar K Present A Cat Q-80065’.
NRHA Youth Team Tournament Champions
for the 2019 Reining Australia National
Championships received an amazing Montana
NRHA Buckle. The Champion Team out of a
competitive field consisted of Isobel Hughes,
Clare Neylon, Kelsie Moyce and Reese Keenan.
We would like to thank our great judges
Darren Simpson and Richard Pokluda (USA) for
officiating over our week of 30 Year Celebration
National Championships. Also, a big thank you
to our wonderful scribes Sharon Simpson and
Jo McConnell for all the hours spent in the
chair scribing. Long standing NRHA Judges
Deb Versluis and Lynda Gray also officiated as
bit judges throughout the show.
