PG.30 SHOW REPORT NRHA Youth Team Tournament Champions for 2019 Reining Australia National Championships received an NRHA Buckle Lil Joe Cash - Open Champion Wayne Hinder riding Reysn Hope Q-82734 Leah Read - Open Working Cowhorse REINING AUSTRALIA CELEBRATE’S 30 YEARS OF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS The week swung into action on the Monday with the first of our reining events being held, it was a big week of showing for all competitors with almost 400 runs being made throughout the week. The feature Aged event of our National Show is the Gold Buckle Futurity and it didn’t disappoint this year with a run off happening between Warren Backhouse and Shane Sainsbury, both riding Gunners Special Nite Q-80153 horses. After a run off Warren Backhouse riding NPH Gunner Be A Goodnite Q-92426 was declared the Thomas Arena Products Gold Buckle Futurity Level 4 Champion on a score of 144.5. The Gold Buckle Futurity Champion owned by the thrilled Dave & Jane Manchon, is by ‘NPH Lil Nu It All’ out of Lilmissnoitall. It was special to have Neylon Performance Horses owners and show sponsors Dennis & Erin Neylon presenting the championship buckle as they bred the champion horse. Our Gold Buckle Futurity Champions for Level 3 was Shane Sainsbury riding Reddy Set Gunner Q-83267 and Level 2 Champion was Leonie Kingdon riding ‘NPH Dunitall Q-91562’. Saturday saw the running of our Reining Australia Non Pro Futurity where Shane Sainsbury riding Reddy Set Gunner Q-83267 took out the Level 4 Championship Title on a score of 142.5, a consistent effort by Shane and his great mare. Level 3 Non Pro Futurity Champion was Peter Bartolo riding Start Spangled Destiny Q-85338 and our Level 2 Co Champions were Jennifer Brown riding Dance While You Can Q-84406 and Katie Pope riding HPH Oaks Playin Tunes Q-83593.
