I ’ LL HAVE WHAT SHE ’ S HAVING ! DO YOU RELATE TO THIS AT FEEDING TIME ?
It is incredible to think about the variety of feeds available to us and it seems a new feed company is popping up each month .
What we have seen in human health industry research is that we can learn a lot from how our grandparents ate .
Instead of filling a shopping trolley full of groceries , we should be eating fresh whole foods as often as possible . We should also be taking this approach with our horses and looking back to what the old timers fed . Keeping it simple , cost effective and fulfilling our horse ’ s daily requirements and cutting out the junk food .
So what is in your bag of feed or supplement ?
Is it mainly a processed diet , or one full of whole foods and natural ingredients ?
The horse has specific dietary needs and has done since the beginning . Water is at the top of the list , followed by fibre , fats , protein , vitamins , and minerals . There are a lot of ways you can get these elements into your horse using natural ingredients .
