This years Ladycroft Wines
Summer Sizzler was very
appropriately named especially
for 2016 with temperatures in
the high very 30’s, easing to a
more comfortable temperature on
Friday, Saturday, and Sundays.

The competitors arrived from
Saturday onwards fine tuning their
horses for the fierce competition
for the $60,000 plus buckles, rugs
and numerous other prizes and
vouchers.
Next to grace the pen were the
Select Amateurs in the $1,000 IRT
Select Amateur Western Pleasure
Stakes with the gentleman Wayne
Tangy placed Champion on his
horse No Need To Be Blue taking
home a beautiful Silver Star
Western Gear Show Headstall
and a rug with Natures Farmacy
Vouchers for 1st to 5th loping into
Reserve was Rae Cribb riding her
new horse QXH Live The Dream.
Tuesday night was our regular
FREE roast dinner for Sponsors and
Competitors alike. The Raffle for the
Melbourne Woodheating Centre was
commenced two Lucky Chair draws
were held for a pair of Kimes Jeans
of which ten pair were also won
during the week , and a weekend at
the Elizas on The Murray.
Wednesday kicked off with
introduction of our two Judges
Jonathon Meilleur from Hamburg
Pennsylvania, and Liz Baker from
Dunnellon Florida, followed by our
Show Manager Jeff Hall our show
staff, Robyn Smith, Leanne Hall,
Jason Harris, Emma Altas, Kyle
Mobberley, Hector Cruz, Kelly
Moore, Cassandra Grainger and
Diane Rose.
First out for the Judges were a very
nice group of Halter Horses followed
by some very nice Trail horses and
riders.
Thursday another hot day started
with Trails.
The first of our Feature Western
Pleasures classes was the $5000
The Gold Pass 3 yr old & Over
Maiden Western Pleasure these
horses stepping out into the ridden
show pen for the first time with the
very fancy Champion SRQ Fancy
Smoochin with Holly Johnson
aboard for his owner Libby Gore
taking home a Buckle and a Rug
with K 9 Horse Products for 1st
to 3rd coming out for Reserve
Champion was Great Ride Girl
and Kane Skopp aboard for Melisa
Cutroni.
