Playgun’s success in the show pen spanned six years with 21 Aged Event Champion and Reserve Championships and over $186,000 in earnings. He was the NCHA High Money earning four-year-old Cutting Horse in 1996. The same year he entered the breeding barn and stood to a full book of mares. Playgun spent the last few years under the excellent care of Hartman Equine Reproductive Service and staff. Dr. Hartman has been there since the beginning of Playgun’s breeding career and been responsible for the health and wellbeing of this great stallion. Vale QXH Hot N Dreamy Q-65550 13/09/2007 - 21/02/2016 On the 21st February 2016 CLAIRVEAUX QUARTER HORSES said farewell to their stunning young stallion QXH Hot N Dreamy, due to a tragic paddock accident. This young stallion had already proven his worth as a prepotent sire, with his first foals successfully competing in the show pen. He will be sadly missed by owners Wayne and Pam Jones of CLAIRVEAUX Stud. A big thank you all those that have sent messages, texts and phoned, to offer support. And most of all, thank you Playgun It’s been a great ride! He will be sadly missed and difficult to replace. Dick and Brenda Pieper Pam and Wayne Jones Vale Iron Age Q-68405 Iron Age was euthanized on January 14, 2016 following complications from colic surgery. “Clark” showed signs of colic last Friday and underwent surgery at The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center that morning. Unfortunately he showed no signs of improvement in the days following surgery and the difficult decision was made to euthanise him. He will be missed by the students, faculty and staff that had the opportunity to work with and learn from him.
