So far , 2023 has been one very exciting year for Clare , especially recently , when she and her family travelled to the USA . She rode with trainer , Trent Harvey , of Whitesboro , Texas , and competed in a few classes at the 6666 NRHA Derby Show , in Oklahoma , on the very nice little mare , ‘ Cowgirls Dont Spook ’. One of the highlights there was being able to ride with 2 & 3 million dollar riders . Whilst in the USA , Clare also qualified for the Run-For-A-Million Rookies Class , to be run during the prestigious Run-For-A-Million event , which will be held in Las Vegas in August , 2023 .
After leaving the NRHA Show , in Oklahoma , Clare and her family headed to Fort Worth , Texas , to join the Australian Youth World Cup Team at
Bryan - College Station , to attend and compete at the AQHA Youth World Cup , 2023 . At the Youth World Cup , Clare competed on a mare named Jersey Queen , and was awarded 3rd place under Judge 1 , and 2nd place under Judge 2 , bringing home the Bronze Medal for Reining for Australia . That journey , the competition , the memories and many great friendships formed will be something that will definitely stay with Clare forever .
In order to move forward in the direction she needs to go to achieve , Clare has set herself some ambitious Reining goals , with a focus over the next couple of years to ride and work for a Reining Trainer in the USA . She ’ s also keen to work in the field of Equine Veterinary Science , and with goals like hers , backed by her winning determination , it ’ ll be hard for Clare Neylon not to taste even more great success .
