Due to the Covid virus , the cancellation of the AmQHA 2021 convention was hard for all international countries , a summit meeting was held on 1-2 Feb 2021 .
And two task forces were formed one to deal with the development of virtual shows platform . Which has had 3 meetings so far and we are very close to making a submission to the Executive on this . The other was to look at the geographical allocation of countries as per the regions they are put into , of which I have attended all meeting via Zoom , and AmQHA has keep all countries informed of changes and I have been present at all meetings .
All outcomes have gone to the relevant portfolio holders and any changes are on the website for the members to read ; I would like to thank all the Board of Directors for their support / input into this portfolio and thank all our members , special thank you to our wonderful staff , look forward to 2022 stay safe .

It feels a lot like 2020 is stuck on repeat . This last year has been a testing time again .
Sometimes you couldn ’ t even get through your show in any State as it would be put in lockdown within 2 hours ’ notice . Border closures were also very worrying as you could go and then not be able to travel within the same day .

I am happy to report that even though it has been a very tumultuous year for all , it has been financially successful , for AQHA .
AQHA has posted $ 494,671 profit . Approximately $ 200,000 attributed from Job keeper and payroll tax refunds . We only received job keeper in the first lockdown and the Association held its own after the first injection of cash from the tax department .
return of the Western Dressage after a 3 years hiatus and was showcased in a 5 page write up in the AQHA Magazine of July / August edition .
I was fortunate enough to obtain sponsorship from Dynavyte for four 2021 Buckles for Youth , Amateur , Select Amateur and Open Rider for Western Dressage . The video of Presentation showing the difference between Hacks and Show Hunters , with presentation & workouts is nearing completion with Covid still playing havoc with trying to complete the final product .
Stay safe , & enjoy your quarter horses . Lorelei Payne
The profit balance approximately $ 300,000 is from general income . Income across the board was up in most departments . Expenses have been kept low , due to great office management . The profit of the association puts us in a great position moving forward , but we need to remain frugal , as times ahead are still fragile .
My appreciation to all members for continued support to the association .
