BETWEEN Hacking , Cutting and Cowhorse events , Singleton horsewoman Callie Bailey embodies the spirit of being the hardest worker she can be , juggling motherhood and training her own horses for events . Callie puts it down to “ doing what you can when you can ”, and with a work ethic to match her equestrian lifestyle , she has also taught as a Special Education Teacher .

She is currently working to improve her leatherworking with the help of her husband , Brenden . Growing up in the equestrian lifestyle , Callie has had numerous successes across her chosen equine disciplines . From Champions at Sydney , Canberra , and Melbourne Royal Shows to this year ’ s Pot of Gold Cowhorse Champion Advanced Boxing and Hackamore Classic Champion Open NP Cowhorse , to name a few .

Callie ’ s mum was very involved with horses , breeding and competing at breed and hack shows regularly . Commencing Pony Club as soon as she could ride unassisted and progressing onto riding horses at shows including Dressage , Eventing and Mounted Games . “ I cannot remember a time where we weren ’ t involved around horses ,” Callie recalls .
When the time came to buy her first hack , Callie purchased ‘ Mayfly ’, a Warmblood mare bred by Olympian competitors
