everything we wanted to achieve within the western industry and she ’ s extremely close to all our hearts . In our eyes , she was irreplaceable even before she started her show career . The reason being is that she is from two great parents we lost , well before their time . So , to have her be so extremely talented in the pen is truly the icing on the cake .’
Tash says that it ’ s so sad that Kieley ’ s sire , CP Surely the Best , Q- 77036 , is gone , as Diesel ’ s progeny were potentially going to be the next generation of greatness in a pleasure horse , being that they ’ re so natural and good-minded .
‘ You ’ ve only got to watch Kieley move .’ Tash says . ‘ Also , she was out of the H F Somethin Hot mare , Emanjay Just Cee Somethin , Q-57817 , owned by Jodi . Halley was a lovely top-line show mare that sadly passed away not long after Kieley was weaned , but the legacy those two great horses left behind , shines in her .’
Kieley has quite a unique personality which was noticeable right from the start , and those who have had anything to do with her agree . She ’ s a very laid-back mare , but one that definitely knows she ’ s special , and according to Tash , she loves being treated like a princess .
‘ Depending on what we ’ re doing with her , or when we walk in her stable , she ’ ll turn to look at you in a certain way , and that led us to call her the ‘ Mariah Carey of the horse world ’, ‘ bedazzle me in diamonds ’ or ‘ do you know who I am ?’ If she was a human , soft drink would never touch her lips , it would have to be champagne only . She has not put a foot wrong in anything we have ever done with her and is just totally loved by everyone .’
Kieley grew into a lovely big filly , with outstanding movement and a wonderful , even temperament . She had the naturally soft , very slow gaits , similar to that of her sire , C P Surely The Best , and although it had been a long wait for all , it was time to start her under saddle .
‘ We started her as a 2yo and the first time we put her in the roundpen , she was just as natural as they come , and she accepted everything so well . Trav was watching her jog and lope around , and he said to us —‘ this is the one ’. She was just a freak with her beautiful movement and sweet disposition .’
