Taj Carson . Taj has been showing Daisy successfully for the last two show seasons , and the warmer weather has been suiting her , especially coming into each breeding season .’
Recently , Daisy was prepared and shown by Taj , at Q21 , to win the AQHA Senior Horse Western Pleasure . Daisy and Taj also won the Senior Horse Western Pleasure under both judges , and then followed it up to win the Open Limited Rider Futurity , under all three judges . Daisy and Nicole then showed in the Amateur Western Pleasure Stakes , placing a first and two seconds in the Open Senior Horse Futurity to take home Reserve Champion overall .
The 2021 Summer Sizzler was a great show for Daisy , with similar results — a win for her and Taj Carson in the
$ 2000.00 All Type Welding Senior Western Pleasure Stakes , and a win for Daisy and Nicole in the $ 2000.00 Potentially Lazy Amateur Western Pleasure Stakes .
PROOF IN THE PROGENY Daisy ’ s own phenomenal success aside , what ’ s helping to put this mare on the Western Pleasure throne , is her ability to pass on the jewels in her crown to her foals — those jewels being her looks , temperament , trainability and talent — regardless of which stallion she is bred to . She just seems to stamp them all .
So it ’ s much more than proud moment for Daisy ’ s owners as they watch the triumphs of her progeny , now regularly winning and placing , often behind one another , at the major shows . For the Fieldens , there is nothing quite like it . They have a lot of trust in their wonderful Veterinarian , Stacey McGregor , who looks after Daisy and does all her embryo work , something they have always done with their mare .
‘ So far ,’ says Nicole . ‘ We ’ ve had great success with Daisy ’ s breeding program , and she now has seven embryo transfer foals , the youngest being a 2yo by VS Flatline , owned by Natasha Humphries and Jodie Jakubenko . We ’ re expecting two foals this year , one by VS Code Red , and the other by Its A Southern Thing , so it ’ s all pretty exciting .’
The Fieldens have all been thrilled to now be able to watch Daisy ’ s progeny out in the arena , especially as they are proving to be just as good as their mare . The fact
