PAUL LORIMER
- Portfolio : Show & Performance Report
As we all know the 2020 / 2021 show season has been a struggle in many ways Covid-19 has been the biggest impact as many shows have not been able to run .
Competitors have not been able to travel interstate at times . Competitors have travelled interstate for shows such as the Nationals and then be sent home by the Government .
It is good to see Show Committees are continuing to put on shows and events and competitors being understanding when some of these are cancelled because of COVID restrictions . hopefully it will soon shine bright on all forms of AQHA competition next year .
Please be aware there has been some changes made to the rules for our Western Shows which are current from 1st August 2021 and will appear in the next Rule Book in 2022 . The Rule Book should be a fluid document so that it can respond to the member ’ s needs .
I hope members will continue to send into the AQHA their thoughts and any changes they would like the Show & Performance Sub-committee and Board consider for the next rule book .
With thanks Paul Lorimer
The number of Shows and Clinics run in this past point year are a credit to all the organising committees
• 1 National Show
• 4 State Shows
• 37 AA Shows
• 279 A shows
• 27 B Shows
• 80 Clinics and Training Days
The mice plague in NSW has been another hurdle for competitors to overcome at home and away at shows . I hope the situation for our members in these mice infested areas is actually improving .
I hope everyone of our members can stay positive as there should be a light at the end of this tunnel and
