Covid 19 affected the showing season and it was cut short by 3 months Registrations and memberships are down slightly But we feel that this will rebuild over the next 24 months. Carol Ricketts - Presidents Report TRISH WETTENHALL - Portfolio: Honorary Treasurer, Amateur Dear members, For all members, I’m sure the first half of the year was Normal. Unfortunately when Corona Virus hit, we all felt the punch. Financially the association is in a strong position, due to diligent work buy the Manager Gemma Clarke, President Carol Rickets and the Board. We have moved through this time with caution, to ensure stability. The Financial report shows a good result in very insecure times. Trish Wettenhall - AQHA Treasurer KIM JOHNSON - Portfolio: Vice President, Studbook, International AmQHA Oceania International Report Due to the Covid virus, the cancellation of the AmQHA 2020 convention was hard for all international countries. All submissions have been dealt with via Zoom meeting and all task forces have connected the same way. AmQHA has keep all countries informed of changes and I have been present at all meetings. All outcomes have gone to the relevant portfolio holders and any changes are on the Website for the members to read. I would like to thank all the Board of Directors for their support/input into this portfolio and thank all our members. I look forward to 2021, stay safe Thank you Kim Johnson - International Director Stud Book Report The Stud Book committee has an ongoing commitment to maintaining the integrity of our Breed. We have held many Zoom meetings over past 12 months looking to the future to implement easier & cost efficient ways to maintain our commitment to the Australian Quarter Horse. We have been working on end of year Breeders awards and incentives to develop recognition for our breeders. We are hoping to have these in place by 2021. Our restraints have been costs of new program to calculate these points for breeders. We ask every breeder if you have any input please email me. The AQHA are looking to develop more online services which will make it easier for both stallion owners and breeders to do their paperwork. I would like to thank the AQHA Stud Book committee for all their hard work. Kim Johnson - Stud Book Director KYLE MOBBERLEY - Portfolio: Professional Horsemen, National Show Unfortunately our Professional Horsemen activities have been limited due to the impacts of Covid- 19. The negative flow on effects to showing and training is a challenge that we are working with and hope for a more positive environment in the not too distant future. The decision to cancel our AQHA National Show, Q20 was one we hoped to avoid. Though again, our responsibility to our members and your safety will always come first. With the support of one another, we will get through this and with great enthusiasm I look forward to Q21 and furthering the success of our Professional Horseman network.
