Six months went by and it was decided that Jerry and Tracey would be riding in their first competition , the Tamworth Reining Horse Association Country Championships , held at ALEC , on the 26th & 27th August , 2017 . Tracey was so nervous , but thankfully Rick and his family were there to calm her anxiety . Reaching scores between 54 ’ s and 59 ’ s all weekend , she remembers feeling very proud of herself , and of Jerry . From there , she says , it has been onwards and upwards .
Tracey ’ s first buckle was something she ’ ll never forget , and she won hers during the TRHA Beginner Series Run Off , in 2018 . Furthermore , she earned her second buckle as Overall Beginner for 2018 . In 2019 , at the TRHA Championships , Tracey and Jerry were joint Champions with Alex Lynch and her lovely mare , Elle , for Green Rider Level 2 .
