Talented local lady rider Kylie Barnett backed up another 90-point round on Tequilabar to seal the win with 180 points . Peter Grills placed fourth and Robert Leach and Jim Southeron divided fifth . Well done to all finalists and placegetters .
Cut-out winner was Ian Clarke riding Charlie Roan with a 23 , sponsored by Rip-Roarin . Kylie also won a service fee to Barragunda Goldman donated by Barragunda Performance Horses and a rug sponsored by Jim Lyons Agency .
Next event was the Rural Aid Australia Junior Campdraft ( 8 & U13 ) 32 runs in the draw , with lovely soft cattle that were carefully chosen for this event . Tayla Ryan riding Leroy took out the event with an 84-point round and also shared equal second place riding Florence with Clay Sadler on Swift Spin both scoring 83 ’ s . Beau Rossiter was fourth on Eve N Oak and Ava Gregory placed fifth riding Crystal with a score of 69 points .
The afternoon finished off with the Thunderbolt Equine Veterinary Services Juvenile Campdraft ( 13 & U17 ) Nick Palmer riding Diva won the event with a score of 90 . Lara De Jong placed second with Spook with an 85 . Equal third on 83 ’ s were Reagan O ’ Donnell and Austen Elias , and fifth place was Lucas Williams riding Willow with a score of 82 .
Both drafts were judged by Wade Miles and trophy rugs were sponsored by Adam Morris Farrier Services .
Sunday 18th October kicked off at 6:30am with the Texas Star Performance Horses Feature Novice Campdraft . 287 first round runs in the draw and a service fee to Duckrey , as well as a rug up for grabs to the winner donated by Texas Star Performance Horses made this event extremely popular . Troy Palmer did an exceptional job of judging this draft . 32 horses went into the final with scores of 83 points and up .
Shane Palmer dominated this event and put together two 90 ’ s for a total of 180 points to win the campdraft riding Diva . As well as took out equal second place riding Red with Norman Stagg who rode Tappy Oaka to 179 points . Ben McNaughton with Cat Girl , Ross Coghill on Gucci and Peter Grills on Lipstick all scored 177 points and shared equal fourth . Shane also won a chilled AI package donated by Thunderbolt Equine Veterinary Services .
Cut-out winner was Julie Duff riding Rose with a 23 , sponsored by Rip-Roarin . Highest Scoring Encouragement Rider was Jim Schofield riding Jane , sponsored by Virbac Australia .
The last event of the three-day program was the Tamworth Regional Livestock Exchange Jackpot Open 4 Open Campdraft . 45 runs in the draw , judged by Steve McNamara saw campdrafting at its absolute best .
92 points on the leaderboard saw a four-way run off between Tim Hollis riding Adios Envy , Carolyn Burnes riding Bella Blue Duck and Bruce McNaughton with two horses , Paris , and Lil Acres .
Carolyn put together another 92-point round to total 184 points and win the event as well as the trophy rug sponsored by Ray White Rural Tamworth . Tim Hollis placed second with 178 points and Bruce McNaughton shared equal third on both horses with 115 points .
