Santa Rio Quarter Horse Stud's super barrel racing horse sire Traditional Roc Q-15316 was foaled on the 20th of December, 1985 and was bred by Robert Baldwin. He is the son of the NCHA Hall Of Fame inductee Roc O'Lena (imp) Q-1662, who is from the imported 1967 AQHA World Champion Halter Mare Roxana Bar Q-1158, a daughter of MagnoliaBar and Miss Rock 93. Roc O'Lena's sire Doc O'Lena USA- 493297 is an NCHA Open Futurity Champion, who won all 4 go-rounds and went onto win the NCHA Derby Champion title the following year. This incredible sire is also a Hall Of Fame inductee. Doc O'Lena is the son of Doc Bar USA-76136 and from one of the all-time great cutting horses Poco Lena, who staked her place in history during a decade on the cutting horse circuit. Five times she was NCHA Reserve World Champion. Three times she won the AQHA Honour Roll title in cutting, plus she's credited with 174 Halter points. She won nearly $100,000 in NCHA earnings during an era in which $15,000 would clinch a world title. Traditional Roc was out of the imported cutting mare and NCHA Hall of Fame inducted Doc's Misty Morn Q-594. A daughter of Jandon, (Nahar x Right Lead, granddaughter of Man O War) and the world famous chestnut stallion Doc Bar who revolutionised the cutting horse industry. Doc Bar’s sire Lightning Bar was an AAA AQHA champion son of Three Bars (T.B. x Della P). His dam Dandy Doll an AA mare by Texas Dandy x Bar Maid F. Doc's Misty Morn is said to be one of the best cutting mares ever imported into Australia. Even in her more mature years Doc's Misty Morn had an incredible presence. In the cutting arena Traditional Roc earned the 1989 Super Sires Non Pro Cutting Futurity Champion with Robert Baldwin in the saddle.
