Western Dressage Championships . We would like to thank Western Dressage Association of Queensland organisers Jim Whitaker , Vivian Wearing , Lisa Berg , our judge Steve Thake and pencilers Anne Thake and Laurel Davis from Western Dressage Queensland for making this event possible . Such a great number of entries for our ARBC Western Dressage Event held on Sunday 20th April . A total of 11 classes were run with over 70 tests completed at this great event . This year saw championship buckle pennants for all sanctioned event champions sponsored by One Roan Peptos .
The Introductory Non Sanctioned Champion Tracy Davies riding Mistress N Tassa ’ s Jewel receiving a stunning show pad sponsored by Infiniti Equine , with Reserve Champion being Gita Thomas riding RKN Favouritism .
The Western Dressage Sanctioned Event Champion for Youth , Basic Level and Level One Chloe Lough riding Chesalon , congratulations Chloe . Reserve Champion for Basic Level being Donna Lucas riding Tally S Optimised . Level One Reserve Champion Teresa Russo riding Roanie ’ s Roc Star . Champion Level 2 Louise Hawkins riding Too Much Hootch with Reserve Champion being Mandy Camfferman riding Mondure Dunitlikeacowboy .
Champion Level 3 was won by Mandy Camfferman riding Mondure Dunitlikeacowboy . This year we had DVL Saddlery & Equine owner Damen Lowrie handcraft a stunning trophy bridle for the highest aggregate percentage of the show , this was won by Tracy Davies riding Mistress N Tassa ’ s Jewel with reserve Champion being Chloe Lough riding Chesalon Shocker .
Congratulations to everyone and thank you for helping to make it such a successful event at our ARBC Western Dressage Event , we look forward to welcoming you all back in 2022 .
The culmination of all events at the ARBC is the VIP Dinner where we Celebrate our Champions and Thank all our Wonderful Sponsors , this year we extended our guest list to accommodate 200 seated guests and it sold out weeks before the ARBC Show began . We would like to thank our local restaurateur and caterer Col from the Windsor Hotel , yet again delivering on a delicious meal to help us all catchup and celebrate the ARBC Show . With the restrictions being worked under you and your team did an amazing job .
There were some special mentions at our VIP Dinner this year as part of the formal proceedings of the evening .
The Chris Parnell Sportsmanship and Encouragement Award , recognising the great sportsmanship of a competitor that perhaps didn ’ t win anything but showed true sportsmanship towards competitors and her pony is now a perpetual award with the recipient selected by our judges . The winner of this special award this year was presented by our reining judges Darren Simpson to Cooper Downie . Congratulations Cooper you have a great way with your horse and showed amazing sportsmanship and we do hope winning this award encourages you to continue on your path in reining .
The ARBC WildSpark Lady rider is a new addition to our Awards of Recognition . Edwina Pilch co founder of WildSpark , an organisation that unites and encourages rural women across the country approached us about having an
