The ARBC Australia ’ s Greatest Horseman FINALS certainly delivered and action-packed showcase of our TOP 15 horse and rider combinations in the country . This feature event had the crowd on their feet and every competitor pitting all they had to take out this coveted title at the Dalby Equestrian Centre .
Congratulations goes out to Rob Leach riding Shirley Shiney , ARBC ’ s Inaugural Australia ’ s Greatest Horseman . This combination competed against some of the best horsemen , women and horses in the country . Congratulations also to the owners of this talented imported mare Shirley Shiney , Peter N Maree Rogan .
Rob & the owners picked up a Cheque for $ 15,000 , the AGH Championship Buckle , Perpetual Cup , garland sponsored by Simply Sensational Garland , a Sound System sponsored by Harvey Norman and the winning back shield presented in a framed memorabilia box .

The top 10 horse and rider combinations in ARBC Shiney Outlaw CLASSIC CHALLENGE Prize money of $ 10,600 was paid down to 6th place for the ARBC CLASSIC Stockman ’ s Challenge winners . Hells Destiny owned by Greg Ellison took home a big cheque for $ 5,000 , Championship Buckle , ARBC Perpetual Trophy & ARBC Embroidered Championship Jacket .

The ARBC Australia ’ s Greatest Horseman certainly was the crowd favourite with a strong crowd of spectators keen to cheer on the field of 15 Finalists on Friday Evening competitors .
The ARBC ’ s underlying mission is to promote the breeding of Reining & Challenge horses in Australia through the provision of a lucrative and prestigious event specifically designed for the derby year progeny of the best Australian and international reining stallions . This year saw some very talented progeny in both the Trails End Saddles OPEN Derby and Shiney Outlaw Classic Stockmans Challenge Events .
The ARBC Nominated Stallions receiving this $ 1,000 Incentive for their highest scoring progeny plus 5 % of their progeny earnings are Gunners Special Nite owned by Turnabout Farms in USA , his progeny won the Trails End Saddles OPEN Derby Championship and Al Capone owned by Benalla Stud , where he took out the highest score for an ARBC Nominated Stallion in the Shiney Outlaw Classic
The ARBC Nominated Stallion Al Capone connections picked up the $ 1,000 owners incentive plus 5 % of his own earning , congratulations to Benalla Stud and thank you for supporting the ARBC .
4 yrs & Under $ 10,000 Challenge Inaugural Event was run concurrently with our Classic Stockmans Challenge event where we saw the future of this great sport in action .
The Championship Title went to Nathan Wilson riding Mitchell ’ s A Contucky , taking home the Championship Buckle , Garland and a cheque for $ 5,000 . Reserve Champion Cody Stevens riding EB ’ s Raikkonen receiving an ARBC Reserve Championship Rug and a cheque for $ 2500 . 3rd Scott Keogh riding Roxy Rose . Tied 4th Leah Read riding Zaihley Faith and Dan Steers riding Lethal Downunder .
The top 6 horse and rider combinations in ARBC DVL Saddlery & Equine OPEN Stockmans Challenge Prize money of $ 7,250 was paid down to 6th place for the ARBC OPEN Stockman ’ s Challenge winners .
Owners of Do Me A Favour , Brigette and Nev Connelly also took home a Championship trophy Saddle handcrafted by Damen Lowrie from DVL Saddlery & Equine , Championship Buckle and Garland by Simply Sensational , along with a big cheque for the highest scoring Drywork in the first go round .
