CHERYL Carter-Pintoy recalls the day Rarni was given to her by Michelle Gross . Rarni was ‘ a gift horse ,’ coming into Cheryl ’ s life just before the tragedy of losing her champion Carlito in a paddock accident in 2011 .

The filly was ‘ small and underdeveloped but with a kind eye ,’ as Cheryl described in a feature story published in 2012 Australian Quarter Horse . She was uncertain whether she would take her . Back then she had no idea just how special Rarni would become , and how much she would need her after losing Carlito .

Since her success as a two-year-old , Rarni has blossomed into a consistent and talented Performance Quarter Horse with Superior Register Of Merit in Western Riding and Reining . ROMs in Ranch , Trail , Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure , and 15 buckles to her credit in various events and High Points .
On the 5th February at WDQHA Multi Judged Show in Werribee Equestrian Centre Rarni placed first out of 9 in Ranch Riding with Craig Rath judging , and just last weekend Southern Quarter Horse Show at Kooweerup Indoor we took out Senior High Point winning a Woollen Rug , Garland and Konke Voucher .
