Board of Directors
2017-2018
Hello AQHA members, I hope
you are all enjoying showing
and riding your Quarter
horses.
It’s been a busy summer and
autumn is now here. Firstly
recently I attended several
late summer shows in Victoria,
Summer Sizzler and the
Victorian state show. The
Committees running these
shows do an outstanding
job. I’m sure you all have
been having a great time
showing. Please remember
the hard working Committees
and a thank you from the
competitors goes a long way.
AQHA is working hard to
take on board your feedback
to make changes for a user
friendly Website and Computer
system. We thank you for
your patience’s during this
transition. We are starting
to reap the rewards of
the perseverance to its
development.
It’s been a busy time over
the past couple of months
including a trip to the
American Quarter Horse
Convention, Jacksonville
Florida. I’ve included the
available links for the
American members to
follow up on the information
provided at this year’s
convention. As an Affiliate of
the American Quarter Horse
Association, it is imperative
that we keep well-informed
of what is happening within
AmQHA both domestically and
internationally.
The Convention also allows
us to collect information on
educational opportunities for
us to bring back to benefit
AQHA and the various
portfolios. This is a great
chance to keep you our
members up to date and
knowledgeable. If you have any
ideas that could be explored,
we would be happy to look at
your proposal and formulate
them for submission to
AmQHA.
The association has
recently completed the 40th
Anniversary National Show
and I would like to thank our
Show Team and staff. Special
recognition needs to be given
to our Show, Manager’s Tamra
Clark and Gemma Clarke
(Cattle and Timed Events).
The National show convenor
and AQHA Director Kyle
Mobberley did an exceptional
job supporting the team and
managing all situations as they
arose. The Show team are a
collective group that the AQHA
relies on for its success of this
major event and we hope to see
you again at Q19. Thank you
to the members that supported
the show and we are looking
forward to 2019 being bigger
and better.
The AQHA now begins another
high demand phase with the
Breeding Season deadline
looming. Don’t forget to lodge
your breeding returns and
application for registrations
with the office before the 31st
May 2018.
