Winning the Open Non Pro with a blistering 222.5 points was Peter Shumack showing his family’ s imported daughter of Purdy Boy Flash( USA-4313937) and Ristis Fair Lady( USA-4508782), Fair Lady Flash( Q-86040) from a total field of 32 entries. Earning the Reserve Championship with an exciting 220 marking run was Courtney Roberts riding Big One( Q-71679), a son of One Stylish Pepto( Q-54631) and Spin N Acres( Q-42453).
Thomas Smith rode Asa Cat( Q- x Spinning Garter( Q-44186) to score an impressively high 228 marking run to win the $ 7,500 Non Pro from a large field of 52 entries. Jack Johnston marked a brilliant 221 aboard the great Cutting horse Mypops Dual Rey( Q-72734)( EB S Phalaris( Q-63710) x Oaks Angel( Q-32606), while Courtney Roberts marked a great 220 aboard Big One( Q-54631) to finish third.
Saturday the 24th of March saw the action kick off at 7 am with the Senior Youth Cutting that saw Jasmine Shumack mark a massive 225 scoring run to earn the Championship Title aboard the incredible son of Racketeer Cat( Q- 51703)( imp) and Barque Sonitas Miss Doc( Q-31869), Eye Brows Cat( Q-58934). Matilda Shumack showed Fair Lady Flash to earn the Reserve Championship with a score of 216 points.
The Junior Youth Championship Title was earned by Bree Smith riding Sweet Smokin Hootch( Q-55028)( Hootchy Kootchy Man( Q-42045) x Sweet Denny( Q-19800) with a super run of 220 points. A brilliant 216.5 marking run saw Dakota Wadsworth showing Eye Brows Cat earn the Reserve Championship Title, while Bree took out third place with a close 216 points aboard CD Spiderman, and then Dakota rode Neat Chic to earn fourth place with a score of 209.
Winning the final event of the NCHA National Finals, the Open Cutting, was Connor Veraart riding JA Lethal Style( Q-59816) Peptos Stylish Oak( Q-39269)( imp) and AD A Liitle Lena( Q-46251) after they marked an impressive 223 scoring run.
Finishing next was Cuttabar Designer Cat( Q-74908)( WR This Cats Smart( Q-59319) x Colonels Destiny( Q-24898), shown by Aaron Wheatley with a 222 point run. The incredible son of Metallic Cat( Q-
72828)( US) and CD Glo( Q-56927), Metallic CD( Q-75862) was ridden by Grant Simon to earn third place with a 218.5 point score.
NCHA BREEDERS INCENTIVE OPEN DERBY
The action in the pen was non-stop adrenaline rushing Cutting horse action at its finest. Round One of the Breeders Incentive Open Derby was held on Wednesday the 21st of March and featured 31 entries.
Jade Johnson ' s chestnut son of Hydrive Cat( IS)( Q-64619) and Turpentine Storm( Q-69599, TP Muddy Cat( Q-79639), was shown by Corey Holden to earn 219 points from the judges, Mrs Lauren Gray, Mr Bob Guest and Mr Paul Palmowski that saw them win Round One.
With a 217 marking run EB S I Can Do That, owned by Mark Ruff, with Jason Leitch in the saddle slotted into second place and the son of Hydrive Cat( IS) and Rey Lady Rey( Q-56620), Reyce Driver( Q-80991), owned and ridden by Grant Quigley marked 216 points to finish third in Round One of the Breeders Incentive Open Derby.
With an outstanding 218 marking run Bobbys San Badger( Q-79154), a daughter of RS Chisum( Q-60660)( imp) and Amaroo Sheoak( Q57443), earned the Championship Buckle in the final with Corey Holden in the saddle for owner Michael Smith.
NCHA BREEDERS INCENTIVE OPEN CLASSIC
Round One of the NCHA Breeders Incentive Open Classic was held on Thursday the 22nd of March and saw a blistering 217 point run by Sorta Smooth( Q-79440), a son of Smooth As A Cat( Q-78992) and Roosters Lil Darlin( Q-60612), ridden by Scott Campbell to win the round for Kirk Nicholson from a total field of 24.
With a great 216 scoring run, Erin Top Drive with Lincoln Veraart aboard for Marcel and Nicole Veraart finished second. While equal scores of 215 points saw Jaguar( Q-82700), a son of Hydrive Cat( IS)( Q-64619) and Alchademic( Q-59269), shown by Jason Leitch for Kristine Holmes and the son of Metallic Cat( IS)( Q-72828) and CD Glo( Q-56927), Metallic CD( Q-75862), ridden by Grant Smith placed next.
Winning the Breeders Incentive Open Classic Challenge Champion Title, with a super 226 mark, was Round One winners Sorta Smooth( Q- 79440) and Scott Campbell. Marking 221 points to earn the Reserve Championship was the daughter of
Hydrive Cat( IS)( Q-64619) and Dara Cocoas Preview( Q-42890), Dara Miss Cocoa Chanel( Q-82858) with Aaron Wheatley aboard for Lisa Shannon.
NCHA BREEDERS INCENTIVE NON PRO DERBY
Round One of the NCHA Breeders Incentive Non Pro Derby was held on Thursday the 22nd of March. From a field of 25 entries Tapt Dancin Doll( Q-79015), a daughter of Tapt Dancin Cat( Q-70942)( imp) and Peptos Pistol( Q-62220), and Andrew Wrigley marked 217 points to win Round One.
Earning 216 points and second place was Dean Jones showing the son of Six Spins( Q-64117) and Dry N Stylish( Q-60404), Triple Six( Q-85362). Following just behind with equal 214 point runs were Stephen Felton showing Smart Look N Honey( Q- 78482)( Dual Smart Rey( Q-72175) x Honey Don ' t Tell( Q-58157) and Samantha Creek riding QXH Hydrive Lady( Q-80125), a daughter of Hydrive Cat( IS)( Q-64619) and Lady Sings The Blues( Q-63081).
With a brilliant 217 point run Samantha Creek and QXH Hydrive Lady( Q-80125) won the NCHA Breeders Incentive Non Pro Derby Championship Buckle. Dru O’ Keefe showed the son of EB S Phalaris( Q- 63710) and Shania Niner( Q-64200), Dr Phil( Q-82943) to earn the Reserve Championship with 216 points.
NCHA BREEDERS INCENTIVE NON PRO CLASSIC
Winning Round One of the NCHA Breeders Incentive Non Pro Classic, with an awesome 218.5 marking ride, was Amelia Servin showing the daughter of Peptos Stylish Oak( Q-39269)( imp) and Freckles Bonita Two( Q-30651), QXH Bonitas Stylish( Q-74822). Lynda MaCallum marked 216.5 points aboard Catsasmart( Q- 77593), a son of Dual Smart Rey( Q- 72175) and Winderadeen Catsaplayin( Q-62512), to place second.
Round One winners Amelia Servin and QXH Bonitas Stylish Q-74822 marked anexplosive 225 points to be named as the NCHA Breeders Incentive NonPro Classic Champions. Steven Smith showed the daughter of Smooth As ACat( Q-78992) and Spinning Garter( Q-44186), Asa Cat( Q-81848), to earn 219.5 points and the Reserve Championship in the final. Trudy Holden showed Garter Cat to earn 219 points and finish in third place.
The 2018 NCHA Breeders Incentive Show was a smashing success showcasing, sires, and Cutting horses that are on offer to Australia.
