ARBC Competitors with
their winning cheques
T
his year the ARBC Show is set to be the one
of the biggest held date with the launch of the
“Australia’s Greatest Horseman Event” along
with 5 disciplines coming together to compete
over an exciting week of competition at the Dalby
Equestrian Centre. This year will see the Western Dressage Champions
receive ARBC Silver Buckle Pennants along with a bunch
of great prizes across all 5 levels of Western Dressage
Divisions. Steve Thake will be judging this event and
WDAUS President Jim Whitaker will once again be
attending this year’s ARBC show.
The ARBC is an Industry Show and
Incentive Program, featuring the best horse
combinations across all 5 equine disciplines
Reining, Stockmans Challenge, Campdraft,
Dressage and Cowhorse competitors. Tuesday will see the start of the Reining Events in the
main arena where judges Ollie Griffith from the USA and
Pam Spokes from Australia will be judging competitors
across a full reining show program, including Youth
classes right through to Non Pro and OPEN Events,
leading into the $25,000 Plus half added ARBC Feature
Event, the Dan Kingsley Custom Saddlery OPEN Derby.

The ARBC’s underlying mission is to promote the
breeding of Reining & Challenge horses in Australia
through the provision of a lucrative and prestigious
event specifically designed for the Derby/Classic year
progeny of the best Australian and International Reining
& Challenge Stallions.
The Dalby Equestrian Centre is transformed over a
week of set up for this prestigious event, in preparation
to welcome along 5 equine disciplines, trade stand
holders, stallion owners, sponsors and spectators. The
ARBC Show will kick off on Saturday 4th April with
the “One Roan Peptos Q-55501” Western Dressage
Championships, where they are expecting competitors
to attend from across the country.
This year ARBC has introduced a new division to the
Derby Event, the Novice Horse Derby class in both Non-
Pro and OPEN divisions. This event is open to 4-year-
old horses only that have earnt $4000 & under in their
careers to date. This will make up the 8 Divisions in the
Derby Event Finals being held on Saturday 11th April.
There will be Perpetual Trophies, Trophy Saddles and
Bridles along with Championship Buckles up for grabs
with some great prizes and big prize money payouts to
successful competitors across all 8 divisions.
Amongst the payouts in the ARBC Derby Event will be
the Lil Nu It All Q74416 Breeding Incentive by way of a
MARCH/APRIL ISSUE 2020
