PG.8 MANAGERS REPORT ~ GEMMA CLARKE A GREAT YEAR W ith my first year as AQHA Manager now met, I want to express my gratitude for the support, encouragement and assistance I have received during the past 12 months. The dedicated work of the Board, the President and the professionalism of the Office team is strong and building the strength of the AQHA. I have been inspired by the volunteerism, vision and commitment of our members, who deeply care about the Quarter Horse and the equine industry. Our Affiliate committees are busy running events, taking the time to support one another and provide excellent opportunities for our members to show and socialise with one another. I have been encouraged by the positive feedback we have received following the launch of our revamped web site and we are striving to ensure the site meets the needs of our membership. We also look forward to the opportunities that will arise through the online platform currently being developed for Accreditation and Refreshing of AQHA Judge qualifications. We will keep you informed via Facebook on when the online platform is to be launched. Finally, I want to extend my personal congratulations to the Winners of the 2020 Nutrien Classic Champions. All three winning horses are Registered Australian Quarter Horses, with their owners John Lee, Corey Holden and Tory Acton each receiving $1000 cash from the AQHA at the event presentation. Definitely a highlight of the year and reinforces the incredible athleticism of the Australian Quarter Horse. I look forward to seeing everyone at Q20, the postposing of our Cattle events was a difficult decision, though considering the terrible impacts of the drought and bushfires it was inevitable.
