Congratulations to our Novice Campdraft Champion Mark Buttsworth riding ONE STYLISH MADONNA taking home the Championship Buckle and Cheque for $ 2,000 .
This year ’ s ARBC Show saw even more cattle events than ever before and we would like to thank Rick Young and Howard Elliott from “ Napco ” North Australian Pastoral Company , suppliers of all the cattle used at this years ARBC Show . The success of the ARBC cattle events is all due to having great cattle , we thank them for the time and effort in making this possible .
The ARBC Western Dressage Championships opened the ARBC Show on Saturday the 16th April with so many entries we needed to go on out and buy another dressage arena , organise another judge and penciller as well as another photographer . With 5 Championship Buckles up for grabs we certainly saw some great tests ridden and thank our two judges Paula Byrne and Kate Elliott for officiating this event . Also thank you to our pencillers Jayne Leadbetter & Sarah Lilburne . The comradery at this event meant the show went ahead smoothly with two arenas in play . Our Show secretary Lisa Berg certainly spent some hours organising the draw to ensure there were no clashes , thank you .
The presentation evening for this ARBC event bought forward some first time buckle winners and loads of smiling faces . Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to all our wonderful sponsors .

Congratulations to everyone and thank you for helping to make it such a successful event at our ARBC Western Dressage Event , we look forward to welcoming you all back in 2023 where we are working on holding this event over two days , not just one . At this year ’ s ARBC VIP Dinner , where we Celebrate our Champions and Thank all our Wonderful Sponsors , we extended our guest list to accommodate 260 seated guests definitely a favourite of all attending the ARBC Show . It truly is a time to connect , relax and celebrate . There were some special mentions at our VIP Dinner this year as part of the formal proceedings of the evening .
The Chris Parnell Sportsmanship and Encouragement Award , recognising the great sportsmanship of a competitor that perhaps didn ’ t win anything but showed true sportsmanship towards competitors and her pony is now a perpetual award with the recipient selected by our judges .
The winner of this special award this year was presented by our reining judges Darren Simpson , Donnie McLaughlin & Allan Kingdon , to Evie Gilmore . Congratulations Evie you have showed great sportsmanship throughout the entire show . Even stepping it up to compete in OPEN and Non pro classes and placing up there with the best . You have trained your lovely Google Chrome entirely and she is a true credit you to Evie , Congratulations .
The Wild Spark Lady Rider AWARD celebrates all that we encourage at the ARBC , great horsemanship , good sports and recognizing those that do it without a second thought . To recognise a lady who displays all round good horsemanship , kind hands and determination , a true inspiration and role model to all our young riders venturing into the cow work events , whether it be Camp Drafting , Cutting or Stockmans Challenges .
Congratulations to Robyn Drake our 2022 WILD SPARK Lady Rider .... you were selected from a wide field of women that have at times put themselves second to raising their family and then getting back into the competition pen . A lady that comes away with a big smile on her face , giving it your best , laughs a lot and is simply living your passion and dream . Robyn your passion and enthusiasm is felt by us all and we thank you for all your great assistance at this years ARBC Show , it sure is appreciated .
