A few career highlights for Julie are winning a beautiful Rocking Horse valued at $ 4k at Farm World Lardner Park event on ‘ Elektra ’ and Reserve Champion on ‘ Catman ’ plus rug , trophy and cash . “ I don ' t think anything will top that one . It was the most beautiful prize I have won over the years . Also , Judging ‘ Way of the Horse ’ at Equitana in 2010 was exciting ."

In February this year , the ABHA held its State Championships in Marrabel , SA . Held over two rounds of competition , Julie and 9yo Bay Stallion ‘ Ballistic Titan ’ not only set the fastest time of the day but were the eventual winners of the Open Division . Taking home a Trophy Saddle , Bob Berg Buckle and feed donated by Johnsons Formula . But it doesn ' t stop there . Julie also placed 2nd on ‘ Catman ’ and 3rd place on ‘ Elektra Remembers .’
Ballistic Titan Q-76148 ( Mr Spin N Freck x Quickadee Boom ) “ We own ‘ Quickadee Boom ’, Titan ’ s Dam ; purchased from friends , Craig and Brenda Meinhold . I have had many successful progenies from Titan ’ s dam with three stallions before Titan . Titan ’ s Sire has an exceptional mind , athleticism and is one of my favourite stallions ,” Julie says .
“ Titan has lots of natural ability like his Sire but is accidentprone , so he hasn ’ t competed extensively . He has won a maturity , and I ran him at the last APRA NFR in Warwick when my two other horses were out ; amazingly , he placed . He ’ s a bit of a freak ; when I do get to compete with him , he ' s incredible . He ' s had no accidents this year , so it ' s looking good for him , although I had my horrendous accident three days after winning the SA ABHA Finals in mid-February . Fracturing my right hip , and had some severe nerve , tendon , and ligament damage to the right side of my body . I worked hard mentally and physically to heal . I ' m back riding and competing now , but it will take some time to get full mobility back .”
“ Titan is super smooth to ride , extremely intelligent , a quick learner and a willing participant . He displays intensity and focuses in a very calm manner . He is very fast , and I certainly haven ' t unlocked his full potential . I would love to get to some more events with him in the future to see what his possibilities could unfold .”
BREEDZ CATMAN ( Morns Miss Miller x paint stallion ) “ I was given Catman when he was six months old by friends . The 12-year-old Palomino gelding is 15.2hh and has Morn Deck breeding , a prevalent breed for barrel racing in Australia . He is super fast ; however , I ' ve never pushed him to his utmost . Catman won many futurities when he was younger . He isn ' t the most willing horse but has matured into a very consistent barrel racing horse . He excels in most heavy large open ground conditions . He placed at the big Mt Isa Rodeo when I competed there on him two years ago .”
