Welcome to the July/August issue of the AQHA Magazine
Well most of the major shows are done and dusted for the year and it has been a privilege
to be present, as the photographer, at the Q15 and the QLD State Show. The quality of
horses is very strong and it was great to see so many happy faces on the winners.
The excitement now turns from the shows to the breeding season. Some members will be
anticipating the birth of that long awaited foal and others will be looking to choose a good
stallion for their mare for a 2016 foal. With such an array of quality sires this decision
can be difficult.
In this Stallion Issue 2, there is a good selection of stallions for you to peruse. This issue
also includes three foaling articles, which are very interesting at this time of the year
– Dummy Foals, Planning on Breeding a Foal - 10 Points to Remember when Breeding a
Foal and Red Bag Delivery.
The shows include NSW State, Tasmanian State, Qld State, NPHA and the NCHA Futurity.
Until next time
Tania Hobbs

The results of the 3 Yr Old Trail at Q15, which appeared on page 35 of our May/June 2015
magazine, incorrectly advised that Invitin Ya Ta Texas Q-73162 was ridden by Carolyn Johnson. The
horse is owned and was shown by Kirra Walker & Naish Hogan. We apologise for any distress this
may have caused her owners.
