beginning , not long after we started Southern Cross Saddlery , we were consistently sending twenty saddles a month to the USA for the first ten years . They were sold over there through the Australian Stock Saddle Company , and that ’ s still going . We now have four saddlemakers here and three labourers , and we ’ re usually quite a busy place .’

Kevin still breeds Quarter Horses , as well as Appaloosas , and used to ride a lot in the past , but has not been doing too much riding lately . He does , however , know the equine industry and its people well , and says that through Southern Cross Saddlery , he and Wayne enjoy helping the clubs out when they can . He says that in the past , Southern Cross Saddlery have set up some Sponsor Stalls at some of the bigger shows a few times , but over the last few years they have just been too busy in the shop to really go anywhere to do that .
