DEAR MEMBERS,
By the time you read this, Christmas and New Years would be over so on behalf of myself and the board, I hope you have add a great Christmas and wish you all the best for the New Year.
Breeding season is done for most of us, remember the 31st of May 2026 for regos and breeding returns so please put this date in your calendar and if your ready to go early, better still to get it done so your paperwork is back to you.
Nutrien Sale is coming up in February and no doubt sale records will be broken once again, the Quarter Horse features strongly at this sale and does our industry proud.
The AQHA through the new judges portfolio holder Lee Ann Hall is welcoming new judges onto the list which is fantastic to see.
The Marketing portfolio is attending to the promotion of our breed and this can be seen with the posts put up for the membership to see.
A lot of you would have attended many of the shows leading up to Christmas and I was pleased to see an uptake in entries with the select classes breaking all records across the board. The show committees must be congratulated for their effort here as it is reflecting on the entries received.
Nationals are looming, you would have seen the program online and entries will open soon.
This years Nationals should be a bumper with extra prize money added and the show team will ensure all runs smoothly.
Again, all the best for 2026 and as always, the AQHA is here for the membership and we will endeavour as usual to keep the membership informed of new programs coming forward to improve the AQHA as a whole.
