This lady was selected by our cattle judge Bomber Lancaster , with him stating “ all her horses were soft and responsive showing that she truly does spend a lot of time working with her horses for events like this .”
Our 2023 ARBC Lady Rider Award recipient is Leanne Anderson . Congratulations Leanne you certainly are a deserving winner of this special award , special thank you goes out to Toprail Equine , ARBC organisers and Kim McTaggart for sponsoring these special award gifts .
The Chris Parnell Sportsmanship and Encouragement Award , recognising the great sportsmanship of a competitor that perhaps didn ’ t win anything but showed true sportsmanship towards competitors and her pony is now a perpetual award with the recipient selected by our judges . The winner of this special award this year was selected by our reining judges Jo McConnell , Darren Simpson , Susan Frost , Allan Kingdon & Steve Withers .

Our reining judge Jo McConnell spoke into why Julie was selected and it certainly resonated the true spirt of both horsemanship and sportsmanship is a fundamental part of Julie .

The celebration of our Champions continued with 10 big cheques presented to the deserved champions of the ARBC for 2023 . We also presented Golders Dalby sponsored Championship Jackets to our feature event champions , Australia ’ s Greatest Horseman Rob Leach , Classic Challenge Mark Buttsworth , Derby Challenge Nathan Wilson , OPEN Challenge Ashleigh Fairbrother , OPEN Derby Ashleigh Backhouse , Non Pro Derby Cameron Halliwell .
