THE 2019 State Show was held over 3 days on
the 15th, 16th & 17th of November at the
State Equestrian Centre, Brigadoon.

revious years we have been blessed with
cool weather, but the show was forecasted
for a scorcher, and a scorcher it was!  A big
thank you to those who supplied plenty of ice
cool water near the show pen for not only the
helpers and competitors but all the horses as
well.
This year’s judge was Mr Scott Neuman who
resides from Billings, Montana USA. Scott has
been judging AQHA events for over 20 years and
teaching at Rocky Mountain College for 24 years.
We were lucky to have such an experienced,
professional and easy-going judge for this years
State Championships.
Friday saw the Western program starting
with Horsemanship and Pleasure Events.
Congratulations to Karen Cornish riding Im
Pawsitively SurelyGood for winning the Amateur
Western Horsemanship taking home a handmade
saddle stand donated by Pam Eglinton. The Youth
All Age Horsemanship was won by Mia Tierney
riding RQH Bam Ba Lam Q-60897 and the Select
