There is a saying – “ Not every champion can be a champion sire !”, but DOCS FRECKLES OAK has certainly fulfilled that criteria . His progeny have inherited his outstanding performance ability in , not only the cutting pen , but in many of the other equestrian sports .
His outstanding achievement would have to be the awareness of the Quarter Horse ability in the traditional “ Aussie ” sports .
At the 1998 Dalby ASHS sale , the top priced lot was the young stallion , NONDA YOTHU YINDI A1- 4853 by DOCS FRECKLES OAK and out of STAR CAROUSEL FM-15908 . Bred by Heather Brown , the well performed youngster was the reserve champion at the 1997 Widgee Stock Horse Futurity as well as numerous placings in campdrafts . The stallion was purchased by P . O ’ Connor at a price of $ 28,000 .
A mare by DOCS FRECKLES OAK , DOCS MOONLIGHT A1-4097 , and Terry Hall won the coverted Grandfather Clock Campdraft as well as the Chinchilla Campdraft .
His progeny have also featured in AQHA advertising to draw attention to the versatility of the Australian Quarter Horse . DOCS FRECKLES OAK is a respected sire of cutting horses and the NCHA records would reveal some impressive performance listings and numerous titles . Western performance and halter progeny are also numerous .
