g) Youth points will not be awarded to youth competing in Open classes. 63.18 Youth Awards Youth performance awards may, at the Association‟s discretion, be awarded on the following basis: a) Youth Register of Merit - 20 or more points in any particular class, 15 of which must be “A”; b) Youth Superior ROM - 50 or more points in any particular class, 25 of which must be “A”; c) Youth Champion - 50 or more points are earned in five (5) different type of classes, 25 of which must be “A”; d) Youth Versatility Award - Register of Merit awards in five (5) different class categories. 63.19 Youth Horse Awards Youth Horse Awards may at the Association‟s discretion be awarded on the following basis: a) Youth Horse Register of Merit - 20 or more points in any particular class, 15 of which must be “A”; b) Youth Horse Superior Register of Merit – 50 or more points in any particular class, 25 of which must be “A”; c) Champion Youth Horse - may be awarded to any Stud Book Registered, Appendix Registered or Performance Registered horse after it has won fifty (50) or more points in Youth classes. Provided at least twenty (20) points are „A‟ points, and at least five (5) „A‟ points have been awarded in each of three (3) different Youth classes. 63.20 Pony Club Awards For any situation not covered by Youth Rules and Regulations see appropriate class rules. To be eligible for any or all of the awards listed below, the horse must be registered with the Quarter Horse Association and the owner of the horse must be a current financial member and be ridden by a financial Youth member. Twenty (20) points must be gained. The horse must be entered and exhibited under the horse‟s registered name as it appears on the Association‟s register. A points sheet must be correctly filled in, signed by Judge or an official of the organising body and returned within thirty (30) days of such show, and be accompanied by a copy of the program, or they will not be allocated. Exception: any show held in the month of July each year, results must be received by 14th August in that year or the points will not be allocated. a) Pony Club Register of Merit – twenty (20) points must be earned. A combination of points from PC Eventing, PC Dressage, PC Jumping, PC Sporting; b) Pony Club Eventing Register of Merit – twenty (20) points must be earned in a One Day Event run by a Pony Club; c) Pony Club Dressage Register of Merit – twenty (20) points must be earned in a Dressage Event run by a Pony Club; d) Pony Club Jumping Register of Merit – twenty (20) points must be earned in a Show Jumping Event run by Pony Club; e) Pony Club Sporting Register of Merit – twenty (20) points must be earned in any class run under Pony Page 76
