57.9 Champion:
a) Champions from halter & performance halter classes
only can receive Champion points;
b) Only the winner, of each same sex halter class, is
eligible to stand for Champion;
After the Champion is determined, the horse that came
2nd to that Champion, in their class, can step forward to
be considered for Reserve Champion up against all the
other class winners;
c) Points for Champion and Reserve - If three (3) or more
horses contest, award 2 points for Champion, 1 point
for Reserve Champion. If two (2) horses contest, award
1 point for Champion, 1/2 point for Reserve Champion.
If only one (1) horse competes for Champion, no points
will be given.
57.10 Points will not be awarded to horses which compete in
Halter or Performance classes which are restricted to
horses registered or recorded with any other breed or
colour registry or association.
57.11 Get of Sire - Must have three (3) progeny four (4) years
of age or under of either sex exhibited.
57.12 Produce of Dam – Must have two (2) progeny four (4)
years of age or under of either sex exhibited.
NB: Points are awarded to the relevant Sire and Dam only
as per the point’s tabulation sheet; and
Performance Registered horses are not eligible for Get of
Sire or Produce of Dam classes.
57.13 Polo and Polocrosse: For events that are run under
the approved governing bodies - Horse in winning team,
3 points, horse in runner-up team, provided three (3) or
more teams compete, 2 points.
57.14 Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing: For classes
which are conducted under the contest rules of and
sanctioned by Equestrian Australia, the following points
systems will apply: (NB: exception Dressage Preparatory
level)
a) Showjumping
The National Showjumping Grading system is based on
an allocation of points to the top three (3) placings in
competitions which count for grading, as follows:
First place 4 points
Second place - 2 points
Third place 1 point
Where an equality of placings occur, the points
allocated to these placings will be added together and
divided by the number of competitors sharing those
placings. Fractions of 0.5 and more will be rounded up.
Fractions of less than 0.5 will be rounded down. A
horse will commence with 0 points and will be known as
a D grade horse. On accumulation of a total of:
16 points a horse will become C grade.
40 points a horse will become B grade.
80 points a horse will become A grade.
b) Dressage
All FEI and EA Dressage classes are given the
following points across the board for Official and
Associate level tests if the test score is 54% or over:
