Questioner: Are you telling us not to be suspicious of anyone? Dadashri: Not just people; do not be suspicious about anything. You are not to have suspicions about this book either. Suspicion means suicide! Questioner: So do we have to believe everything that is written in books? Dadashri: You do not have to believe everything. You can be suspicious for only a minute and then you should turn around. If you go beyond that, then suspicion is such that it will become a ‘poison’ and kill you. Questioner: But what if everything that has been written is false? Dadashri: It is never wrong or false. But when suspicion arises, you should stop after a minute. For devotees… Questioner: Today in all the religions, the religious gurus say ‘I verily am God.’ Is that to be believed? Is that not worth suspecting? Dadashri: So what if they write such things? There is no need for you to have suspicion. You will understand that it is wrong. Doubts or suspicion is a different thing. There is no need to have the kind of suspicion that you are talking about. There is no need to have suspicion there. For the time being the guru is God and the disciple is a devotee, and this is how people’s lives go on. However when there is a breach of the contract of such a relationship, there is a possibility that suspicion may arise. Otherwise, there is no reason for suspicions.
