8 APrIR Speaker Scholarship In addition to the scholarship for presenters-in-the-making: (the above-mentioned course on Academic Writing organised by FAAPI) we continue to support our members' professional development by offering a scholarship for presenters in general, whether this is your first time or you are already experienced and you are interested in submitting a proposal for the FAAPI Conference. This is a special issue on the topic of intercultural citizenship education and it includes an article by APrIR member Mariel Amez, “Desire to end violence: Human rights and intercultural citizenship in teacher education”. Since only qualified teachers can join our association, being listed on APrIR’s site amounts to having an official degree to teach English.
