Board Meeting Minutes
Scholarship : Julie Gintner The Scholarship application is in the Spotlight and uploaded to the website . Julie presented the 2024 Scholarship budget for review and approval .
Motion made by Lori Taylor , seconded by Ann Goebel to approve the 2024 Scholarship Budget as presented . Motion carried unanimously .
The Scholarship Committee has been presented for approval ; Karen Whitaker , Betty Alders , Dorene Morroquin , Jan Deile , and Amy Cooney . Jan Deile to serve as Vice-Chair .
Motion made by Steve Bobzin , seconded by Karson Duncason to approve the 2024 Scholarship Committee members . Motion carried unanimously .
Old Business :
-2024 Banquet Planning- Julia shared her progress so far for Banquet planning . She would like help from the Board to approve a budget . It was discussed that cost per attendee needs to be affordable . It was shared from other Banquet committee members that other venues farther from the cities have been contacted . All committee members will continue to research other venue options for availability cost . There can be a closed Board Meeting via Zoom for budget approval , in order to lock in a date . Guidance from the Board for the committee is to try to find something $ 20 per person , and no more than $ 1000 rental fee .
-Matthew Saterbak with Equiscribe presented on the status of Equiscribe . He shared on the growth and development of Equiscribe and where Equiscribe would like to see themselves going forward with WSCA and Champ Show . Board members shared on their experience and concerns with Equiscribe .
