A LETTER FROM KO MONTHLY
Firstly, we here at KO Monthly would like to
thank all you boxing enthusiasts for your
positive comments and all your well wishes
after our first magazine. From the majority of
your comments, you the boxing fans have
confirmed to us here at KO Monthly, that a
magazine like ours is definitely needed and
wanted to promote the Irish boxing scene.
We would like to give a big KO Monthly
welcome to two new members to our ever
growing team. They are John J. Raspanti, who
is our US Correspondent. John will be bringing
you, the fan an in-depth look at some of the
top fights taking place Stateside. Also, we
would like to welcome boxing historian Fran
Long, who will be looking back at yesteryear
and bringing you back down memory lane as
he profiles Irish Boxing Legends.
No doubt there are exciting times ahead for
Irish Boxing and we intend to cover all the
latest news and to promote Irish boxing
through our magazine, our website and our
App. If we can help promote any of your
upcoming club shows we will gladly do so.
As always your continuous support is
appreciated and much needed. If there are any
topics you would like to be featured in future

KO Monthly would like to offer our sincere condolences to the
family of Mark Sweeney, who unfortunately passed away in March.
R.I.P.
Mark boxed throughout the 80’s and 90’s for St. Thomas’s Boxing
Club, Mount Tallant Boxing Club and Crumlin Boxing Club under
the watchful eyes of Richie Kavanagh, Mick Dowling and Phil
Sutcliffe.
Mark will be sorely missed by family, friends and the entire boxing
community.
