Days are getting longer , weather is getting warmer and we have finally reached shedding season , hooray !! I hope everyone has been able to enjoy some of this warm weather as much as possible these last few weeks , and have been able to spend a lot of time with your horses getting them geared up for the upcoming show season ! I have a love / hate relationship with spring because there is nothing better than not having to bundle up to go out and ride , but the amount of brushing and washing that is required just to get the cleanliness you need to ride is a workout in itself ! With the warmer weather quickly approaching , there are quite a few EXCITING events coming up as well , one being the royalty clinic !! The royalty clinic is a great event to see other queens in the association as well as learn a few tips and tricks about representing your club , even if you are not competing in the queen ’ s contest . It was a very memorable event for me last year , and at that point I wasn ’ t too sure if I would even run for Queen , and look at me now ! It is a great opportunity to learn and improve on your queen skills , and you can even bring your saddle club princess ( es ) along with you ! Even if you aren ’ t representing your club this year as a queen or princess , you can still attend and learn about representing your club in the royalty contest for upcoming years ! One of my favorite memories while at this event was talking to and learning about the current WSCA court ! I will have tons of stories and experiences to tell , as well as probably a few jokes . The WSCF 2 day Spring Fundraiser Show ! This show will be held at the Simon Arena in Cannon Falls on May 21st and 22nd and . You will not want to miss it ! There will be over $ 2,500 added to jackpot classes , as well as 32 beautiful belt buckles awarded !! This will be a great start to your show season , as well as an amazing way to support the WSCF . There will also be a ton of awesome prizes awarded and a silent auction with great items for the upcoming show season ! Please follow the WSCF Facebook page as well as the show ’ s event page !
