Vocational Burst - Criminal Minds
Seventeen S2 learners experienced a 6-week Vocational Burst into Criminology . Our Ayrshire College lecturer Ann-Marie provided a range of learning activities including learning about what a crime is , forensic psychology , crime scenes and the various areas that Criminologists explore .
Vocational Burst - Automotive
Twelve S2 students are experiencing a 5-week Vocational Burst into the automotive mechanical repair industry . We travel to Queen Margaret Academy to work with our Ayrshire College Lecturer , Frank . He leads us through a variety of activities including an overview of health & safety , tools & equipment , removing & refitting road wheels , removing & refitting lights , checking lighting systems , removing & refitting seats , checking vehicle fluid levels and removing & refitting engine components . The activities are carried out to motor vehicle industry standards in conjunction with Health & Safety and Tools and Equipment and provides students with an insight into the motor vehicle repair industry .
