Under 13 Football
Written by Mr Bryden The Under 13 Football team competed well in their 4 team Ayrshire group this session . They started with a tough away defeat to Prestwick in November .
After Christmas the team then lost 5-2 at home to Greenwood . The boys showed great improvement in their play and were unlucky to lose by 3 goals . Connor Campbell in goals made numerous saves and Matthew McGuffog was excellent at centre back after injuries to Arran and Ethan .
Nathan Shaw scored both goals . The first after a good through ball from Arran Wilson and the second from a penalty after Nathan was fouled when he was about to shoot .
In their final game at home they won 5- 0 against Irvine Royal thanks to goals from Adam McNab , Benjamin Curson , Ryan Morrison and Arran Burns ( 2 ). The team played some excellent football in all parts and special mention goes to Flynn Gilgallon and Finn Whiteford for their performances in centre midfield .
