SPRING CLEANING

SPRING IS HERE ! DON ’ T FORGET TO CHANGE THE CLOSET ! The robins have brought in the Spring on their wings and we all love a good Spring cleaning ! A reminder :
SEASONAL ITEMS
In an effort to keep our residents happy , healthy and comfortable in a spacious setting , we ask that families keep resident closets cleaned out and updated with appropriate seasonal garments . Any seasonal items not managed , will be moved to a storage unit to which the responsible party will be billed .
CLOTHING
Upon admission , an inventory sheet is completed listing the resident ’ s personal belongings . Please notify staff of any items brought into the facility or taken home for records to be accurate . This sheet must be signed upon discharge .
All clothing must be given to the C . N . A . staff to mark appropriately .
Nothing is permitted to be stored in the bottom of the closets unless in a closed container with a lid . Absolutely no cardboard is permitted . Items may be stored in the top of the closet , but must be at least 18 inches from the ceiling as required by fire regulations .
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK !
A big THANK YOU to all who participated in our surveys over the last few months ! The feedback we have received is invaluable ! We appreciate you taking the time and effort to help us reach our goals .
We strive to be the best that we can be , here at The Orchards . We take pride in what we do and are thankful for your kind words . We will work hard to correct and improve the highlighted items from the survey .
Again , thank you for your efforts and time .
If you choose to do the resident ’ s laundry , a plastic laundry basket with a lid must be provided for resident ’ s soiled clothes . It must have a plastic liner inside and be placed in the resident ’ s room with a sign on the resident ’ s door stating family doing laundry . If the clothing is not picked up in a timely manner , the facility may have to do the laundry so the resident will have proper clothing , or if there is an odor due to the resident being incontinent . It is also possible that some items may go through our laundry unintentionally .
